New hotel type in RUS regarding 2011 · 23. marts 2011
From January 1st 2011 the Danish VAT Act §42, paragraph 2 has changed. This allows Aalborg University to lift 50% of the VAT off overnight stays at hotels in Denmark.
This means that you must choose the new cost type “Hotel ½ moms” in RUS, when it regards overnight stays at hotels in Denmark in 2011.
However, if you still have overnight stays at hotels in Denmark from 2010 that you need to get reimbursed, please use the old cost type “Hotel”.
Remember to fill out and submit your travel expense reports no later than 7 days after returning.
